Playgroup

Playgroup

Welcome to the Middlestown Primary Academy Playgroup page!

Here you will find all the information about our term time weekly playgroup session.

The playgroup is for two year olds (or 3 year olds who will be starting at Middlestown the following term) in our local community.

The playgroup will run every Thursday morning (term time only) from 9am until 10:30am. The playgroup will be run by Mrs Jones and Mrs Johnson (who are also based in our EYFS Foundation Unit).

Please bring your child round to the Centre X entrance to school (in the staff car park). Once you have brought your child three times and if they are settled, you can leave them in our capable hands to play! Alternatively you are more than welcome to stay; whatever suits you and your child. We will ask parents who do leave their children with us to volunteer one session each half term on a rota basis.

Each session will run with a theme linked to either a book or topic area e.g. around a book, Winter/Construction. Children will be provided with a healthy snack and we ask for a £2 voluntary donation if you are able to give this.

We are so happy to be able to welcome younger children to Middlestown Primary Academy to strengthen our transition to our Nursery and to give staff, parents and children alike an early opportunity to build warm and secure relationships ahead of their admission to our Nursery.

Please contact the school office via email – admin@middlestown.accordmat.org – if you intend on joining us with your child.

We look forward to meeting you.

EYFS Lead

The Accord Multi Academy Trust is an educational charity established in September 2016 that is currently made up of four academies who were the founding members of the Trust. In September 2016 Horbury Academy and Ossett Academy & Sixth Form College came together, moving away from their stand-alone Trust status and were joined in December 2016 by Horbury Primary Academy and Middlestown Primary Academy.

The overarching vision for the Trust is to work in one ‘Accord – celebrating the differences of each academy through strong collaboration in order to inspire all members of our learning community to be the best that they can be.
